Writing assignment for ESL 3:

Write a story about a day’s experiences. Choose and describe either a sad day or a happy day. Write three paragraphs.

In the first paragraph, make a beginning to the story. Tell who, what, when, and where the story involves.

In the second paragraph, describe why the day was a happy day or a sad day. Give several examples and explain the importance of the day.

In the third paragraph, tell how the day ended. What will happen next after this day? How will the future be changed by these happy or sad experiences? What lesson can be learned from the day?

Write the three paragraphs then meet with a tutor for editing advice.
